Kielder

Otterburn

Otterburn Mill - Set among the rugged hills and wild moors of Northumberland, 18th century Otterburn Mill has lost none of its original character and charm. Recently redeveloped, the mill still maintains a centuries-old tradition of selling high-quality textiles and craft products. The restoration features a Mill museum displaying much of its original machinery, including a 19th Century water turbine. Visit the Mill to discover the real meaning of the phrase "On Tenterhooks", and pause for a while in the spacious coffee shop or visit the fully networked Tourist Information Centre.

The old gaolThe Old Gaol - Hexham's Old Gaol has reopened with a new look after major restoration work. A glass lift now gives visitors access to all four floors, including a view of the infamous dungeon with its 20 foot drop.
